The Mission Minute Issue #9

The Mission Minute Issue #9

During this time of staying at home, Zoom calls, and reading overwhelming amounts of information — Mission Triangle is excited to pass along a “Mission Minute” full of simple nuggets of encouragement, key learnings, and announcements. We find them helpful and hope you do as well!

Biblical Truth

  • Listen:  One of the greatest ways to serve is to listen. At a time when racial, medical, and political tensions are high, what if we intentionally stopped to listen, even to whom we most disagree? It starts with listening to God, and then perhaps we will have the ears to hear what others, including our co-workers and neighbors, are really saying.

Sound Business Principle

  • Hard Work: This Labor Day, let’s celebrate the gift of work. Work certainly look different this year, but as Sho Baraka points out, “you don’t need to be an architect to build a better city.”  Or, as IFWE shows us, “it is in work that the sacred and secular often meet.”  The business of nonprofit leadership is both a sacred and secular endeavor. Happy Labor Day.
