16 Sep Make Plans Now to Attend SHARK TANK 2019!
By now, you’ve probably seen the hit TV show, Shark Tank. And if you’re like most folks, you agree that it’s compelling television.
Why? Because Shark Tank features regular folks with great ideas who need partners to invest in their vision and make the world a better place.
But did you know there’s an event similar to Shark Tank—only live and in real-time—right here in the Triangle that will not only tug on your heart strings and make you cheer for some big, bold ideas, but also give you the opportunity to partner with groups that are transforming lives and making a huge impact on expanding God’s Kingdom?
It’s called SHARK TANK 2019, and this annual event spotlights three Christian-led, local nonprofits that have a vision for transforming lives in the Triangle and beyond.
And just like TV’s Shark Tank, Mission Triangle’s SHARK TANK 2019 invites courageous presenters to pitch their ideas to hard-hitting local “sharks” that ask tough questions—like iron sharpening iron—to make sure each ministry is ready to take its mission to the next level.
Bottom line: SHARK TANK 2019 is all about Biblical accountability and raising the bar of excellence for Christian-led nonprofits. And it’s about giving business leaders and donors the confidence they need to partner with each group’s vision—knowing that there will be a Parable of the Talents-like return on investment for God’s Kingdom.
Here’s a quick look at the three nonprofits selected to make their pitch before the sharks on October 17th:
- Dew4Him: Through a proven method of stringent evaluation, mentoring and counseling, Dew4Him welcomes struggling women into a safe environment where they are trained in Biblical truths and given the opportunity to heal, grow and flourish.
- JusticeMatters: As an advocate for survivors of human trafficking, JusticeMatters provides trauma-informed legal services and promotes policies and practices throughout North Carolina that address the roots and repercussions of this modern form of human slavery.
- NeighborHealth: This comprehensive primary care center serves Christ by loving its neighbors through excellent, compassionate and accessible health care that connects everyone—including refugees, expectant mothers and those with low income—to the medical community.
Let’s face it: Deep down, we all want to be good stewards of our time, talent and treasure. And we want to see our local nonprofits succeed and make a powerful impact for the Kingdom.
So, if you’re looking for well-vetted, sound groups to partner with and champion, make plans now to attend SHARK TANK 2019 on October 17th from 6:00 – 8:45 p.m. at Providence Baptist Church in Raleigh.
